About Me

When it comes to politics, and this new era defined by echo chambers and personalized algorithms that know exactly what we want to read about, I pride myself on maintaining my identity as a centrist– as a free thinker. I avoid partisan discourse, as much as possible, searching for the gray, rather than the black and white. After all, it's in the gray that real people live. Now, I am an Investigative Reporter for Defending Education as well as the Lead Editor for Informed.org, reporting on topics such as social studies education all the way to cultural clashes.

Catholic Conservatives Against ICE: How ICE Lost Its Moral Compass

I believe in the rule of law–I believe in our nation’s sovereignty and respect for our borders. I believe in a lawful and dutiful Immigration and Customs Enforcement and, consequentially, the idea that active criminals without legal status should be removed from our nation according to due process and constitutional norms. But I’m also Catholic, an identity that supersedes any party affiliation.

Schools made boys the villain. The internet gave them a hero. | Blaze Media

After Nick Fuentes catapulted into the spotlight following his appearance on “The Tucker Carlson Show,” Americans faced an unwelcome reckoning: Who is this person, what are “Groypers,” and is he really so revered by young boys and men?The media frenzy produced predictable reactions. Republicans insisted he doesn’t represent them. Democrats blamed Donald Trump and “fascism.” Reporters rushed to diagnose “extremism” in young men. Everyone condemned the boys who followed him. Almost no one asked wh...

What Does It Mean to Teach Social Studies?

This week, the National Council for Social Studies—the largest professional association dedicated to social studies education—is hosting its 105th annual conference in Washington, D.C. The conference webpage tells attendees, “You will leave the conference with strong strategies for delivering instruction that engages students, the best ways to advocate for the most pressing issues of social studies education, and a network of colleagues to support you throughout the year.”

Naturally, with th...

Shocked that Gen Z Believes in Political Violence? I’m Not

The younger generation is more tolerant than ever of political violence. I'm not shocked because I witnessed how students react to political differences on college campuses. It's not about Left and Right—it's about losing the fundamental idea that disagreement is good in democracy.

Following Charlie Kirk's death, so many politicians and older Americans seemed completely shocked at the younger generation's record-high tolerance of political violence. After spending four years in elite academia,...

Sydney Sweeney is a Blonde Republican. Now, the Right Side of the Internet is Trying to Make her the Face of Conservatism.

These sort of pop culture advertisements don’t exist in a vacuum, immune to ongoing political phenomena and discourse. To say otherwise would be ignorant. Ads mean something, and they mean something especially in the context of a given moment. We can agree that jeans are Americans. So, what does it mean when you take the token white woman in Hollywood as the spokesperson for jeans talking about her eye color and hair color while flaunting her body? Is that what America is?

Conservative Politicians, Charlie Kirk, and Donald Trump Cower on Epstein

Charlie Kirk, Founder and President of Turning Point USA, led his followers into Trump’s orbit under one huge assumption: Trump would bring transparency.
Trump is, according to Kirk, a politician of the people. Unlike the “woke”, “leftist” politicians who have endless skeletons in their closets, Trump was supposed to be clean. He might be out there, but at least it’s all out there.
And it seems like Kirk believed this, truly. After all, on August 10, 2019, Kirk tweeted, “RT if you believe @real...

Meet Aidan Chao: the Young, LA-based Politico Bringing Politics Back to the People

In his early high school years, Aidan Chao found himself drawn to local Californian politics following a series of burglaries in his predominantly Asian neighborhood of Arcadia. With the community shaken up and neighbors concerned about rising crime across the region, Chao did what most barely-teenagers wouldn’t think of. He called the mayor, April Verlato. Thinking, like most, that a secretary would pick up or he would get the answering machine, Chao was incredibly surprised when Verlato answer...

What Do Obama and Trump Have In Common?

Those are the words of former President Barack Obama on the debate stage in October 2012. Sparring over foreign policy with Republican nominee Mitt Romney, President Obama underscored the importance of dissolving the Iran threat as to maintain peace within the global order. During this debate, President Obama spoke largely in favor of brutal sanctions against Iran, targeting their oil industry and crippling their economy.“And the reason we did this is because a nuclear Iran is a threat to our na...

The Social Reality for Right-Leaning Young Women

Certainly, being conservative on a liberal campus is a feat in itself. But I couldn’t fathom why women seemed to face such a disproportionate social burden compared to our male counterparts. My conservative male friends rarely encountered the same judgment from their peers.
Perhaps part of this is a numbers game. Today, there are more women than men on college campuses—and most identify as liberal. Conservative young women like me are increasingly moving into a politically marginalized space, w...

Detransitioner Speaks Out About Irreversible Damage After "Disastrous" Misdiagnosis

After being misdiagnosed with gender dysphoria, Gabriella Castenada underwent a series of irreversible hormonal and physical interventions that have left her with debilitating health consequences.Gabriella Castenada grew up feeling insecure about her body. Even though she said she had a full, happy childhood, she still found herself trying to cover up.

Throughout adolescence and into her teenage years, Castenada was overweight and said she didn’t want to feel like she was “bulging out from th...

Trump’s executive orders hold medical ideologues accountable - Washington Examiner

After years of medical professionals choosing to support failed gender ideology instead of prioritizing patient care, President Donald Trump is standing up for the rights of vulnerable girls and boys. In an executive order released last month, Trump condemned the “maiming and sterilizing” of children at the hands of medical professionals. This so-called “gender-affirming care” often results in lifelong medical complications and irreversible bodily issues, the order notes. The order further calls...

‘We Had To Do It’: Female Volleyball Player Says Forfeiting Match Against Trans Athlete Was The Common Sense Choice

A junior at the University of Nevada, Reno, recalls her experience forfeiting a volleyball match against a biological male this past season, saying she hopes her team’s decision will lead to safe, fair competition for young, aspiring female athletes.McKenna Dressel, a middle blocker for the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) women’s volleyball team, never planned on speaking out in defense of women’s sports.

“I am a very introverted person,” Dressel told IW Features. “I am not one to really sp...
